What is a medicine reminder app?

A medicine reminder app helps you record a schedule and receive prompts at dose time. Dosia adds stock tracking, so your agenda and remaining supply belong to the same medicine record.

Set the schedule you were given

Enter the timing and dose quantity instructed by your prescriber or pharmacist. Check your timezone and review the next doses after creating or changing a schedule. Dosia organizes the information you provide; it does not create a treatment plan.

Taken, snoozed, and skipped mean different things

  • Taken records the action you confirm.
  • Snooze postpones a reminder.
  • Skip records that a scheduled dose was not taken.

A reminder repeats on the configured cadence within its reminder window. Check the settings for your medicine rather than assuming every reminder has the same interval.

Check notification delivery

Choose available push or email preferences and allow notifications where required. Device settings, browser support, and connectivity can interrupt delivery. Test a reminder on the device you use.

If you miss a dose, follow the instructions supplied with your medicine or ask your pharmacist or prescriber. Dosia cannot tell you whether to take an extra dose.

Choose email, push, or both

Notification settings let you choose channels separately for supported notification types, including dose and low-stock reminders. Email reaches your account email address; push uses a subscribed browser. Email delivery requires the operator’s email service to be configured. Use the test notification controls to check your setup.

Set the repeat interval and reminder window

In medicine settings, choose how often a dose prompt repeats and when it stops pinging. The current controls accept repeat intervals from 5 to 120 minutes and a reminder window from 30 to 720 minutes. Snoozing postpones the reminder; it does not record a taken dose.

These settings control notifications, not the prescribed dose schedule. A reminder window ending does not tell you whether to take or skip a medicine.

Turn dose reminders off without losing stock tracking

For a scheduled medicine, reminders can be disabled while daily estimated stock deduction continues. Low-stock and expiry alerts are configured independently. This mode assumes scheduled doses were taken; it does not confirm them.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

How do medicine reminders work?

Set a schedule and enable your preferred available notification channels. You can mark a dose taken, snooze it, or skip it. Push delivery depends on browser support, permission, connectivity, and device settings.

Does Dosia recommend a dose?

No. Dosia records the schedule you enter. It does not prescribe medicines, recommend doses, or tell you how to make up a missed dose.
