Start with a physical count
Choose one medicine and count the usable stock you have. Check all relevant packs rather than estimating from your last purchase. Write down the medicine name and the unit in which you count it.
Record the packs separately
Add batches for packs with different expiry dates. Record the quantity in the same unit used for dose entries. A new bottle or pen should not be assumed to contain the same quantity as a different product.
Copy the existing schedule carefully
Use the instructions you have already been given. Review the next scheduled doses in Dosia and enable the notification channels you want. Do not change your medicine use to match an inventory estimate.
Update at the moments the count changes
- Record dose actions as you use the app.
- Add a batch when a refill arrives.
- Check the record after a schedule change.
- Recount a batch when the app and physical stock disagree.
Record keeping works best when the update happens alongside the event. A supply estimate built on an old count can be precise arithmetic and still be wrong.
Review before placing a refill order
Check the actual quantity and current prescription, then use your normal refill process. Your pharmacy or prescriber can clarify ordering requirements. Dosia records information and flags thresholds; it does not order or dispense medicines.
